Spring 2020 National Meeting – Washington D.C.

The health and safety of our members have always been the priority in planning the Spring 2020 meeting in Washington, D.C. We all know that COVID-19 has changed the face of many things in the past days and even changes things on an hourly basis. We now have specific information to share with you regarding the planned COPAS Spring meeting.
The in-person meeting Spring 2020 meeting is officially cancelled. The Westin has terminated our contract due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Many of you were travel restricted so this was a desirable outcome. The hotel will auto-cancel any reservations that were made using the booking code associated with our planned meeting. If you do not receive a cancellation notice you will need to contact the hotel directly.
While the in-person portion of our meeting has been cancelled, the Council will still be required to meet to take votes on several items that were presented as part of the 60 Day Council Meeting Notice. The board of directors will meet next week to set the details of that meeting, but expect it to remain on Friday, April 24, the previously announced date of the meeting. More information will be communicated to you regarding the time and the electronic connection that will be used. Committee Chairs, Vice Chairs, Society Presidents and/or Society Representatives should make plans to attend that virtual meeting even if you had not registered to attend in person.
Registration refunds will take some time to manually process so we appreciate your patience. We anticipate that these will all be processed in the next 45 days.
