Speaker: Jeff Wright

Bio:

Jeff is the owner and president of 4A Energy Advisors LLC, an oil and gas contact compliance firm based in DFW.

Prior to forming 4A Energy Advisors in July 2007, Jeff spent the previous 27 years with Oryx Energy Co., Union Pacific Resources, Burlington Resources and ConocoPhillips, primarily working in the areas of Joint Venture Audit and Joint Venture Audit Coordination.

Jeff has been active in COPAS since 1995 as a member of COPAS of Dallas, The Petroleum Accountants Society of Canada, The Petroleum Accountants Society of Ft. Worth and the Petroleum Accountants Society of the Permian Basin. He has held numerous leadership positions in COPAS both locally and nationally. Jeff was the COPAS National Audit Committee Chair during the period 2009-2011 and again during the period 2019-2020. He currently serves as Co-Chair of the COPAS National Education Committee and was the COPAS National President in 2016.

In addition to contract compliance work, Jeff is often called upon to provide expert witness testimony in oil & gas litigation matters and provides Joint Venture Accounting best practices guidance to clients. He is also an instructor for COPAS Energy Education.
