Bio: 

Stephen Nelson is the Founder and CEO of Pinpoint Security, where they help organizations build their digital security — for a safer tomorrow. With more than a decade in IT and cybersecurity leadership and over twenty years of hands-on experience, he has worked across industries from financial services and energy to education and small business, helping teams strengthen their defenses and build security programs that work in practice, not just on paper. Pinpoint Security focuses on managed detection and response (MDR), vulnerability management, penetration testing, security assessments, tabletop exercises, and staff augmentation — all built around the belief that security should enable the mission, not slow it down. Stephen is a CISSP, GPEN, and GSEC-certified professional who enjoys blending strategy, technology, and execution to solve complex challenges. Whether it’s designing secure architectures, leading assessments under CIS and NIST frameworks, or helping a business recover from an incident, he is driven by one mission: to make cybersecurity clear, effective, and accessible for every organization we serve.
