Speaker: Fred Gipson

Bio:

Until recently, Fred Gipson was Lead Counsel – Commercial Litigation, at Chesapeake Energy Corporation, a publicly traded oil and gas company based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated with a B.B.A. degree in 1986 and a law degree in 1990. He was admitted to the Oklahoma Bar that same year.

Before joining Chesapeake in September of 2002, Gipson worked for nine years as an attorney for the Oklahoma City law firm of Crowe & Dunvley. During his tenure at Crowe & Dunlvey, Gipson’s practice was concentrated in the area of civil litigation, with an emphasis on oil and gas and commercial litigation. Gipson also worked three years as an in-house attorney for the University of Oklahoma, where he handled litigation filed by and against the University.

Gipson retired from Chesapeake in 2024 and is now in private practice handling primarily oil and gas related litigation.
