1994-1995

Oklahoma City’s L. E. “Eddie” Cox elected as President of National Council. “General Ledger” newsletter became a monthly publication. Employment Clearinghouse service was offered to members. Final membership count is 199. Revised By-laws were adopted.

1993-1994

Gary Wade and Sandy Launchbaugh were recognized for their work on FERC Order 636 and SB168 seminars. Charlie Nobles published first “General Ledger” (quarterly basis) in October 1994. Final membership count is 217.

1992-1993

Door prizes implemented to encourage attendance. Monthly meetings were moved from Hilton Inn Northwest to Applewoods. The first newsletter, “The Bottom Line” published in January 1993 to increase communication between members, committees and the Board. Board liaisons assigned to each committee. Final membership count is 198.

1991-1992

Meeting format was changed to drop the after dinner speaker. Final membership count is 185. Name changed to COPAS of Oklahoma City.

1990-1991

Society membership increased in spite of economic downturn in the industry. First annual golf tournament was held, attracting 52 participants. Final membership count is 134.

1989-1990

Four PDI-COPAS co-sponsored events held. Final membership count is 145.

1988-1989

Hosted National COPAS meeting in the Spring of 1989. Held first PDI-COPAS co-sponsored seminar: Natural Gas/Gas Plant Accounting. Monthly meetings moved to Hilton Inn Northwest.

1987-1988

COPAS Tax Committee developed.

1981-1982

Oklahoma City’s Tom Deplois was elected President of National Council. Society acted as a clearinghouse for job after the economic downturn of the 80s.

1975-1976

Hosted National COPAS meeting in the Fall of 1976.
