Introduced a new General Ledger format for communicating with members. Hosted APA® review and exam. Final membership count is 170. Education Day held at Kerr-McGee facilities. Letter sent to employers as a marketing tool to increase membership.

Oklahoma City society hosts the Fall National COPAS meeting in Las Vegas. Society e-newsletter, now distributed via email. Premiered new website: www.copasokc.org Society logo was designed and implemented. Final membersip count is 180. January was designated as “Leadership Recognition Month.” Final membership count is 179. Toolboxes were prepared for chairs of committees. Outgoing committee chairs presented with honorariums at January’s society meeting. A trial luncheon meeting in February drew 86 members. Hosted National Joint Interest/Audit committee meetings at Westin Hotel. Membership voted to approve changes to COPAS-OKC Bylaws. Society meetings moved to Westin Hotel after Applewood’s closed. Final membership count is 191.

1998-1999

Small Oil and Gas Companies committee reached its goal of doubling participation in the month of February. Two Education Days hosted at Mercy Health Conference Center. Final membership count is 168. COPAS-OKC holds Past Presidents’ Night in September. Of our 39 Past Presidents, 8 are deceased and 9 could not be located.…Read More

COPAS-OKC Blazers night draws members to a hockey game. Volunteered to host the Fall 2002 National Meeting in Las Vegas. Final membershp count is 184. Oklahoma City’s Sandy Launchbaugh elected President of National Council. Education attendance is 35. Accredited Petroleum Accountant® (APA®) program started for the society.

1996-1997

Survey indicated members prefer existing meeting format. (Tuesday dinners with committee meetings preceding technical session) Final membership count is 192. Abbreviated version of the “General Ledger” prepared for two months as Editor Charlie Nobles recuperated from a heart attack.

1995-1996

Educational field trip to a drilling rig was offered to members. Small Oil and Gas Companies Committee was formed in OKC. Final membership count is 208. Hosted the Fall National COPAS meeting.
